For a long time I could never really make my mind up about Benefit primer and whether I liked it or not, so I stuck with my trusty Monu primer and Embroylisse moisturiser. I had about 3 Porefessional primer testers kicking about in my make up draws so I thought I would eventually start using them properly and see how they went.

I love how the primer doesn’t feel oily and goes on slightly like a dry moose, it creates a layer over my pores and nearly makes them invisible! It creates such a smooth base to put my foundation over. I always have trouble with my foundation parting all over my oily areas and it’s always drove me up the wall, but I think this primer has made such a difference. My foundation seems to last a good 9+ hours without desperately needing some form of powder touch up, and I actually currently like it better than my Monu powder.

The primer does have a slight tint to it, so I am unsure on how it will look on darker skin tones but it doesn’t leave an orange tinge like I very first thought it would. After I used all my testers I thought I would go buy a large one to replace it and I’m glad I did as it was on offer with the Triple Performing moisturiser in the ‘It’s About Prime‘ set for £24.50, which is the same price as the primer alone.

I’ve tried a few of the Benefit moisturisers and I have loved them, and loved them even more for the beautiful packaging they come in. So I was excited to get the chance to try this and see how it worked. Benefit moisturisers do have a slight scent to them, so if you have crazily sensitive skin they aren’t for you, but I have slightly sensitive skin and they’re perfect for me. I’ve been using this around 2 weeks now and it hasn’t caused me to break out and also creates a great base before applying the primer. Any moisturiser that doesn’t make me break out is a thumbs up in my book.

If you want to try these the little set is a great way to start, especially seeing as you get a full size Porefessional in it too. What is your favourite primer?
