Lideal Eye Pigments*

It’s been a long time that I’ve wanted to get my hands on eye pigments, I really want to up my eyeshadow game and these seem to be the secret to it. I envy so many different looks on Instagram and they nearly always have a hint of pigment in there that makes it really stand out. I think it’s my rubbish skills and not wanting to waste money that’s the reason I’ve never bought any yet. I did try to get my hands on the Mac pigments set at Christmas but typically it all had sold out once I tried to add them to my basket. I do think gold/bronze pigments are more me than any bright blues or greens, though I’m sure I can merge these in if I get any better.

This beaut pigment is a budget pigment is a Lideal pigment from Born Pretty, and for £1.40 you can’t really complain in trying it out. I chose a pigmented gold colour as that’s the colour I will probably get the most use out of, plus I love gold and brown smokes. When I’ve been using this I’ve been either using it on top of an eyeshadow base for extra glow or spritzing my Mac Fix+ onto my brush and applying it. I really love the effect it gives when using it wet, it really sticks to your eye and the inner corner of your eye. 

As much as I love eyeshadow, I never really get the opportunity to try out the looks I like or they’re just not practical.. like if I rocked up to work with a full smokey eye. I’m sure people in meetings would think I had lost it. Subtle eye make up is the only go work wise. But I did enjoy creating this look, I used the pigment to brighten the glow in the centre and inner corner of my eyes. I really love how easy this is to change an eye look completely.

Obviously there will be fall out with a loose eyeshadow, but tapping the brush on the back of your hand or back into the pot will stop the fall out being all over your face (and looking like a disco ball).
