July Birchbox(bag)
I was a little confused this month when I saw a parcel through the door and couldn’t remember ordering anything. Until I opened it and realised it was the July Birch’bag’. I must admit even though I collect (hoard) the boxes for gift boxes I really liked the bag idea. I think this little bag will come in handy for the airport, or at least that is where I am planning on taking it when I go abroad. It’s realistically not big enough for my make up, especially for a holiday but it’s pretty none the less!
I was pretty impressed with the products this month too, well apart from 1 but can’t really complain. I do love the little eye trio though, the melon colour in the middle looks lovely and I can’t wait to play around with it.
This months box includes:
Balance Me Congested Skin Serum £16 – This is to sooth breakouts and reduce the redness, which is what the Lavender and Aloe Vera ingredients will be great for. I’m going to give this a whirl and see how it compares to the Lush Grease Lightning. But I have had good experiences with Balance Me products, so I’m hopefull! I’m putting it on tonight to try and break this spot battle I’m having before I go away!
Unani Aloe Vera Gel £15 – Some after sun, which I’m sure will come in handy for the other half when we’re in Lanzarote in September as he burns like a tomato. It smells lovely though so at least he won’t smell like a burnt foot!
POP Beauty Eyeshadow Trio in Peach Parfait £15.50 – I love the peachy tone in this, I was happy just seeing this in my box itself ha! These are the three perfect colours for a nice soft smokey eye for the summer. Small enough to pop into a handbag too!
Benefit Cosmetics Dream Screen £25 – Though I do love Benefit skincare range, I probably won’t get much use of this. It’s very rare I put sun cream on my face as I usually have a foundation on with a good SPF. I will take it along on my holidays with me though for lying around the pool. I’d imagine this one to clog your skin a lot less than a normal sunscreen.
Jelly Pong Pong Glow Getter Luminizer Gel £8.95 – This little thing has quite confused me, it looks like nail varnish and I think I spent around 10 minutes making sure they sent me the right thing. I have literally no clue how to use this, it even has a nail varnish brush?! I’m going to give it a go though and see what it’s like for highlighting my brow bone at first, then be a little adventurous afterwards.
Pua Vida Lace Headband in Aqua £11.40 for 8 – This is what I was least excited about, I have mahoosive head and there is no change it is getting into this tiny elastic band haha.
But apart from the headband I did love this month, and I’m quite looking forward to using a lot of the products! You can still get this months box here.
